Who May Benefit From The Oklahoma Wound Center?

A patient who has chronic or non-healing wounds that have not improved during the course of conventional treatment may benefit from the specialized wound care provided at the Oklahoma Wound Center.

Some Indications for Wound Care Include:

  • Diabetic Wounds
  • Neuropathic Wounds
  • Pressure Ulcers
  • Ischemic Ulcers
  • Traumatic Wounds
  • Burns
  • Surgical Wounds
  • Venous Insufficiency Ulcers
  • Post-Radiation Wounds

Indications for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT):

  • Certain Infected Diabetic Ulcers
  • Arterial Insufficiencies
  • Osteomyelitis (Refractory)
  • Compromised Grafts and Flaps
  • Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infections
  • Delayed Radiation Injury (Soft Tissue and Bony Necrosis), Cystitis, Proctitis
  • Crush Injury, Compartment Syndrome and Other Acute Traumatic Ischemias

The Oklahoma Wound Center offers:

  • Comprehensive care
  • Patient and family education about their wound treatments
  • Circulation screening tests
  • Specialized dressings including negative pressure therapy, total contact castings, biologic alternative tissue applications, and compression wraps
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy

The doctors and staff at the Oklahoma Wound Center provide patients with special treatment plans designed to help heal wounds as quickly as possible. Additional tests may be needed to tell us more about the wounds. Patient education on wound prevention is also provided.
